One of the world’s most influential Muslims, the living saint Habib Umar has begun his historic first-ever visit to the United States as part of his global “Tranquility Amidst Turbulence Tour” seeking to provide comfort to people of all faiths in the wake of economic, humanitarian, and political turmoil.

The 31 city tour spanning three weeks coincides with a time of notable turbulence: the uprisings throughout the Middle East, the earthquakes in Japan and New Zealand, and the recent Congressional Hearings in the United States on the Radicalization of American Muslims.

An erudite scholar and sage who was recently ranked withing the top 50 in this year’s list of “500 Most Influential Muslims”, Habib Umar serves as a vital link between the Muslim World and the West as he tours the United States offering a message of hope and harmony embodied in the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (sallahu alayhi wa sallam).
